Sean Dawkins, DOMP

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP)

Sean Dawkins, DOMP
Hello! My name is Sean and I am passionate about helping people live a healthy and vital life. I specialize in musculoskeletal and fascial dysfunctions.

I attended the National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) in North York where I graduated with a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP). I had my first experience with Osteopathy while recovering from a back injury I sustained while I was a competitive athlete. Through competing and being injured several times I was able to experience various types of treatments and therapies, which sparked my interest in helping others. For me, graduating from NAO was the beginning of my journey to becoming a highly effective Manual Osteopath. I am constantly learning and taking courses to explore new strategies and approaches.

My treatment philosophy looks to address the root cause of the pain or dysfunction you are experiencing. Osteopathy is a hands on therapy that focuses on the alignment of the fascia and musculoskeletal framework. During a treatment session I complete a thorough physical assessment of my patients concerns. I then use a variety of gentle manoeuvres to address the structural imbalances found within the body. I also recommend targeted corrective exercises that are done between treatment sessions to further mobilize, strengthen and align the body for long term pain relief.

My therapies are effective on their own and as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan. I often work in combination with other health care professionals such as Naturopathic Doctors, Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Dentists and Medical Doctors.

I look forward to working with you!
